The Cycle

How SIEGE Is Played

Every cycle crowns a ruler and burns one player out of the game.

I
Safeguard Competition
Players compete for Safeguard. Safeguard is safe for the cycle and cannot participate in the House Vote. A player may win Safeguard in back-to-back cycles.

House Vote
Eligible players privately vote; votes are then revealed publicly. The highest vote total becomes Nominee A. If tied, the tied players, the SYLO and the Safeguard are safe, and a Wheel selects Nominee A from everyone else eligible.
III
SYLO Selection
The reigning SYLO selects one eligible player as Nominee B. A new SYLO cannot directly nominate the previous SYLO — but the House may still vote the previous SYLO into The Scorch.
IV
The Scorch
Nominee A faces Nominee B. The loser is eliminated from SIEGE. The winner is crowned the new SYLO.
V
Next Cycle
The new SYLO is safe and holds nomination power. The former SYLO returns to the House. The next Safeguard competition begins and the live all-in-one cycle continues.

SYLO: The ruler. Safe. Selects Nominee B. Holds power until dethroned in The Scorch.
Safeguard: Safety and protection. Safe for the cycle and cannot participate in the House Vote.
The Scorch: Nominee A vs Nominee B. The loser is eliminated. The winner becomes the new SYLO.
Opening Safeguard: 1st place becomes the first SYLO; 2nd place becomes the first Safeguard.
